Hinsdale NH Man and Hartford VT Woman Arrested on Drug Charges
A Hinsdale NH man and Hartford VT woman were arrested on drug charges after the Vermont Drug Task Force and Hartford Police executed a search warrant for Walsh Avenue residence yesterday. The warrant was a result of an ongoing narcotics investigation involving Angela Redmond. Officers found 50 bags of heroin and a small amount of cocaine during the search. Police arrested Redmond for sale of crack-cocaine and Adam Colon was charged with three counts of sale of heroin and possession of heroin and cocaine.
Redmond was lodged at the Southern State Correctional Facility for lack of $1,000 bail and was arraigned on the charges yesterday in Windsor Criminal Court. Adam Colon was issued a citation and ordered to appear at Windham County Superior Court on January 9, 2018.
Vernon VT Man Killed in I-91 Crash
A Vernon Vermont man was killed in a single car accident on I-91 in Vernon Tuesday night shortly after 10:00 PM. Vermont State Police said 41-year-old Adam Vergobbe was driving north on I-91 when he left the road and collided with a tree. Vergobbe was taken to Brattleboro Memorial Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The VSP continue to investigate the accident and encourage anyone with information to call the Vermont State Police.
Springfield VT Man Arrested for Impaired Driving
A 95-year-old Springfield VT man was arrested for impaired driving last week. Springfield Police said that a witness alleged that a vehicle drove over a curb and almost hit a guardrail before pulling into a residential garage. Officers went to the residence and after an investigation determined that Donald Whitney was the driver in question. Whitney was taken into custody and issued a citation to appear in Windsor County Criminal Court on Nov. 28th to answer the charge.
Springfield VT Woman Arrested for Heroin
Springfield VT Police arrest Christine Carvage 51 after she left a known drug house. Police said Carvage was arrested for allegedly having a misdemeanor amount of heroin on her person. She will appear in Windsor County Criminal Court on Jan. 9, 2018 to answer the charge.
Grantham School Board Seeks Input
The Grantham School Board has started their long-range strategic plan for Grantham school district. The school board is in need of Grantham residents’ input. The board is asking residents to take a 15-20 minutes survey to help provide the input that the district can use to guide Grantham K-12 education over the next five years. The survey is open until November 19th and it can be found on the Grantham Village School’s Facebook page. Printed copies are available at the Grantham Village School, Grantham Town Offices, and the Grantham Public Library. The results of the survey will be posted in early December.
Lake Sunapee Boat Access Development Commission to Hold Public Meeting
The Lake Sunapee Public Boat Access Development Commission will meet in the Newbury NH Town Offices on November 30th from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The purpose of this meeting is to solicit stakeholders and provide a forum for public comment. The meeting will be open to the public and recorded.
The Commission was established by New Hampshire Executive Order 2017-06 and charged with assembling a variety of perspectives in order to develop a new plan for the development of the Wild Goose property and expansion of public boat access at Lake Sunapee that will be amenable to and be supported by relevant public and private stakeholders.
