Men Arrested for Racing on I-95 in Norwich
A Lebanon NH man and a White River Junction man were arrested early Sunday morning after they were racing on I-91. Vermont State Police say shortly before 2:00 AM they stopped Dylan Smith of 26 of Lebanon and Joshua Durkee 22 of White River them for speed and reckless driving after they were racing on I-91 North in Norwich VT
Police arrested Smith on Suspicion of DUI in addition to Careless and Negligent Operation. Durkee was arrested for Carless and Negligent Operation.
Both men were cited to appear in Windsor Criminal Court, Smith on Oct. 31st, and Durkee on Nov. 14th to answer the charges.

ATV Driver Rescued Off Mount Sunapee
A driver of an ATV was rescued off Mount Sunapee, shortly after 6:00 PM on Saturday after being injured in a rollover.
Newbury Fire Rescue responded to the accident with their tanker and Kubota. A medic from New London Ambulance was on the board the Kubota that used the service road to reach the summit.
Officers from NH Fish and Game met the Kubota at the top of the mountain. The paramedic and Newbury EMT’s treated the individual’s injuries at the scene before transporting the patient in a Stokes Basket to an ambulance. Responders remained on the mountain until 9:00 PM.

Exit 15 S on I-89 Closure
A Reminder the I-89 Exit 15 southbound on-ramp in Enfield is closed today October 23, 2017, between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM to allow for the repair of a culvert that crosses the ramp.

Granitville VT Man Arrested for 111 MPH Speed
A Graniteville VT man was arrested Sunday afternoon for going 111 mph on I-89. Vermont State Police said they clocked a car driven by Keast at 111 mph traveling south on I 89 in Randolph. During the stop, Keast gave officers a false name. Troopers recognized Keast from a prior incident and arrested him for Negligent Operation and False Information to Police.
Keast was released on a criminal citation to appear in Orange County Superior Court Criminal Division on Dec 6th to answer the charges.

Public Meeting for DOT 10 Year Plan in Claremont Tonight
NH DOT is holding a public hearing in Claremont NH tonight for their 10-year transportation plan. The meeting is at 7:00 PM in the Claremont Savings Bank Community Center, on 152 South Street. All residents of Sullivan County are invited to attend.

Arrest Warrant for North Walpole Man
Bellows Falls Police Department have issued an arrest warrant for Glenn Marchand of North Walpole NH on Aggravated Assault and Leaving the Scene of Accident charges. Police say the warrant was issued after an investigation into an accident on Oct 6th where a pick-up truck backed into a car in Rite Aid Parking Lot and fled the scene. Upon arrival, officers saw a female lying in the parking lot with a head injury. The woman was transported by Golden Cross Ambulance and flown by DHART to Dartmouth Hitchcock for her injuries.
