Motorcyclist Dies After Franklin Crash
A motorcyclist died on Sunday after being involved in a three-vehicle accident in Franklin. Police say the accident happened shortly before 10:15 AM on Hill Road (Route 3A) near Lake Shore Drive when the SUV and motorcycle hit head on. Police said the motorcyclist died at the hospital from his injuries. Police are not releasing the name of the motorcycle driver at this time. One of the other drivers received minor injuries. Hill Rd (Route 3-A) was closed for several hours.

NH DOT Meeting for Rt 12 Reconstruction in Charlestown and Walpole
The NH Department of Transportation (NHDOT) is holding a Public Information Meeting on June 28th, on the reconstruction of Rt. 12 in Walpole and Charlestown. The meeting is for discussion of the reconstruction of 3 miles of NH Route 12 in Walpole and Charlestown. This public meeting will be in the North Walpole School on 17 Cray Road in North Walpole NH. There will be an informal open house period for viewing and questions at 6:00 PM followed by a short presentation at 7:00 PM.
The project will reconstruct a section of NH Route 12, beginning just north of the intersection with Main Street in North Walpole, and extends about 3 miles north of the intersection with NH 12A in South Charlestown.

Newport Resident Takes School District to Court
Newport School District was in Sullivan Superior Court on Friday for a 91-A (freedom of information) petition filed by Newport resident Bert Spaulding Sr. Spaulding Sr.claims the Newport School District was in violation of properly following New Hampshire’s Right-to-Know Law on five occasions. The five counts included lack of notice, late/incomplete/misleading, time and place not lawfully posted, minutes non-compliant, and unlawful meeting.
Witness testimony was limited to Superintendent Cindy Gallagher who answered questions from both Mr. Spaulding and Attorney Minutelli.
Judge Brian Tucker provided Mr. Spaulding with 10 days, until June 26, 2017, to provide a written response to the District’s Memorandum of Law, which was filed with the Court earlier this week.

Perkinsville Man Arrested for Third DUI
A Perkinsville VT man was arrested for his third DUI (Driving under the influence) after police received multiple calls about his erratic driving. Police say they stopped Aaron Wheeler driving a 2011 Hynundai on I-89 in Hartland. Wheeler was arrested without incident and charged with DUI#3, Refusal (to take a breath test), and Gross Negligent Operation. Wheeler was later released on citation and will appear today in Windsor Criminal Court to answer the charges.
