Woman Attacked On Lebanon Trail
lebanon mapA 23-year-old woman was attacked yesterday on a trail in Lebanon shortly after 5:30 pm. Lebanon Police say the incident occurred while the woman was walking on a trail off Loop Road near DHMC. According to the victim, she was attacked from behind and thrown to the ground before being physically assaulted. While she fought back the suspect fled down the trail toward the parking lot. The man is described as a white male between the ages of 18-25, approximately 6’tall with shaggy blonde hair, fair skin and medium build. At the time the male was wearing a dark hoodie, and possibly darker jeans.
The woman received minor injuries but declined medical treatment. Police believe the victim was chosen at random. The investigation is ongoing and anyone who may have been in the area or anyone with information regarding this case is asked to contact the Lebanon Police Department at 603-448-1212.

Dartmouth Students Expelled for Fire Seek Signatures
Two Dartmouth students were suspended after admitting that they caused the four-alarm fire in Morton Hall on Oct 1. Sebastian Lim and Daniel Ro admitted to causing the blaze in an online petition on the Care2 petition site. The college expelled them for posing “a threat to the community at large.”
The NH Fire Marshall’s Office determined the fire was caused from a hibachi left unattended on the roof. Lim, and Ro wrote “While we made a mistake that could have potentially injured people, it was just that a mistake. We implore you to take a minute to consider what occurred.”

VT Hazmat Responds to Dummerston
Vermont State Hazardous Materials Response Team was called to Dummerston on Saturday. Vermont State Police say they were contacted by the West Dummerston Fire Department seeking help on Quarry Road for an illegal dumping complaint after a walker discovered three containers labeled as hazardous liquid. The scene was secured and contained by members of the West Dummerston Fire Department. The Vermont State Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) Response Team responded to the scene and coordinated the removal of the containers along with a private contractor.

Springfield VT Man To Be Extradited to NH
A Springfield VT man who was arrested in Oct for being a fugitive from justice will be extradited to NH. Jared Stockman 34, a construction worker waived extradition and agreed to face felony shoplifting charges in Lebanon.
Lebanon Police Department issued the arrest warrants in August for 2 felony counts of shoplifting and attempted shoplifting. Stockman allegedly stole several hundred dollars’ worth of merchandise on May 28, and over $650.00 worth of goods on June 1 from the from the West Lebanon Walmart. The date of his hearing is not yet known.
