Two Arrested After RT 4 Crash
fitzgibbonLebanon Police made two arrests after a single car accident on RT 4 closed the road for several hours on Thursday. Police say a car driven by Jeffery Caron 48 of Plymouth NH left the road and hit a phone poll near Bagley’s Corner. Caron was taken to DHMC with minor injuries and arrested there for, Misdemeanor Reckless Driving and Driving Under the Influence. Caron was released on $10,000 personal recognizance.
Carson’s passenger Kellen Fitzgibbon-Bizel 31, of Thorton NH was also arrested on five counts of Possession of a Controlled / Narcotic Drug. Fitzgibbon-Bizel was released on $10,000 personal recognizance bail. Both men will appear in Lebanon District Court on January 9, 2017.

 

25 Arrested for Trafficking Heroin
Twenty-five individuals who are accused of running a violent, organized heroin distribution ring in New Hampshire were indicted in massive drug bust earlier this month.
Of those indicted, 20 are from the Lowell, Lawrence/Haverhill areas Massachusetts. Four members of the operation are from New Hampshire and one is from the Dominican Republic. Most are now in custody or were serving time when arrested. Two suspects Heibrahim DelValle Baez and Santos Guerrero Morillo remain fugitives.
New Hampshire U.S. Attorney Emily Rice announced the indictments on Wednesday morning. The Drug Enforcement Administration, Homeland Security, and a host of police agencies across southern New Hampshire and eastern Massachusetts were involved in the case.

Springfield VT Police Warn of Thefts
The Springfield VT Police continue to receive complaints of stolen property in the North Springfield area. Most items taken were tools, air Compressors, Chainsaws, and Tires/Rims. The thefts were from businesses, private residences, and storage facilities. Police remind residents that if you see or hear anything suspicious at night to contact 911 or call the department directly. Anyone who has information on who may be responsible for the thefts or where the property is being unloaded, i.e. pawn shop, junk dealer, etc. please call the Springfield Police Department at 802-885-2113. Police say you need not give your name.

Orford Woman Rescued Off Mount Cube
After several hours, an Orford NH woman was rescued off Mount Cube in Orford on Monday. NH Fish and Game said 34-year-old Molly Soloway was hiking when she received a lower leg injury. Crews from Crews from Orford, Lyme, Rumney, Wentworth, and Thetford VT Fire Departments, volunteers from the Pemi Valley Search and Rescue Team and the Upper Valley Wilderness Response Team along with officers from NH Fish and game responded to the trail shortly before 3:00 pm. Soloway was carried out and crew arrived back to Rivendell Trail Head about 9:00 pm.
