Weathersfield Police Investigate Bomb Threat
Weathersfield VT Police are investigating a bomb threat at the Sunoco gas station that happened on Saturday. Police say a caller reported a male exiting the gas station restroom and said there was bomb inside. Weathersfield Police Department, Vermont State Police, members of the Vermont State Police bomb squad, Ascutney Fire Department and West Weathersfield Fire Department were on scene and closed one lane of VT Rte. 131 for about 2 hours. A canine trained in explosive material detection was called in and searched the building. No suspicious devices or materials were found. The investigation is ongoing and Weathersfield Police Chief Daniels is asking for anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity at the Sunaco station on Saturday around 4:15 pm to call the Weathersfield Police at Call (802) 674-2185.
Bill Clinton in NH
Former President Bill Clinton will be in NH today holding organizing events for Hillary Clinton for President in Hanover and Keene. The Hanover Event is being held at Dartmouth College Alumni Hall, 4 East Wheelock Street, Hanover from 11:30 am -12:30 pm. Door open at 10:30 am.
The Keene event is at Keene State College LP Young Student on 24 Madison Street in Keene. The event starts at 2:15 pm and doors open at 1:15 pm.
Springfield VT Woman Charged with DUI
A Springfield VT pharmacy technician was arrested in Warner NH on Friday morning for DUI. NH State Police said they charged Shelly Sechrest 54, after receiving multiple calls that her 1999 Jeep was all over the road on I-89 southbound. Sechrest informed the arresting trooper she had knowingly exceeded the recommended dosage of her prescription medication.
She is scheduled to be arraigned in the Hillsborough Circuit Court on Nov 15.
Claremont Man Charged with Sexual Assault
Claremont and NH State Police arrested a Claremont man on multiple sexual assault charges as he was leaving DHMC last Tuesday. Barrett Hodgdon, 44 was charged with two counts of Aggravated Felonious Sexual Assault and two counts of Felonious Sexual Assault. Hodgdon was arraigned in Claremont District Court on October 13, 2016 and the Court entered pleas of not guilty and set bail at $25,000 cash only with special conditions.The facts and circumstances surrounding Hodgdon’s arrest remain under investigation.
