On September 7, 2016 at approximately 2230 hours, New Hampshire State Troopers from Troop D along with Lebanon Police Department responded to motor vehicle crash involving two vehicles on Interstate 89 southbound near Exit 20 in the City of Lebanon.
The preliminary investigation indicates the driver of a black 2006 Pontiac Torrent,
Bianca M. Williams, age 27
was traveling southbound on Interstate 89 when she was distracted for an unknown cause. She lost control of her vehicle and struck the guardrails off of the travel lane. Miss Williams’ vehicle then rolled back into the travel lane and was broadsided by a 2011 white BMW X3 operated by,
Peter Tourin, age 76
Mr. Tourin and his passenger,
Jean S. Twombly, age 75
were transported to Dartmouth Hitchcock Hospital for non-life threatening injuries. Miss. Williams, who was the lone occupant in the Pontiac Torrent, was also transported to Dartmouth Hitchcock Hospital for life threatening injuries.
The interstate south of Exit 20 was shut down for approximately 3 hours. The southbound traffic was detoured at Exit 20 south during the crash investigation.
Agencies that assisted the State Police were, Lebanon Police Department, Plainfield Police Department, Lebanon Fire Department, Lebanon Ambulance, Hartford, VT Ambulance, and NH Department of Transportation.
