Man Involved in Accidental Gunshot Wound Charged

On Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at approximately 11:54AM, the Lebanon Police Department received a 911 call in regard to a 24-year-old male subject who had accidentally shot himself in the lower torso while seated in a vehicle at the West Lebanon Cemetery. Lebanon Police and Fire Units responded to investigate and the male was subsequently transported by ambulance to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center where he was treated for a single gunshot wound to the leg and released.
The Lebanon Police Department conducted an investigation into the circumstances surrounding this incident. It was determined that the male, identified as Ivan Deutsch, age 24, of Lebanon, did not have a Pistol/Revolver license for the .380 caliber pistol he had in his possession.
As a result of the investigation, Deutsch was arrested by the Lebanon Police Department on September 1, 2016 and charged with Carrying a Pistol Without A License, a Class A Misdemeanor offense. Deutsch was released on personal recognizance bail and will appear in the Lebanon District Division, New Hampshire Second Circuit Court on Monday, November 7, 2016.
