On May 20, 2016 at approximately 10:30PM Lebanon Police and Fire responded to a drug overdose at a residence on Barrows Street. The 35-year-old male victim was revived by Narcan and transported to DHMC where he is expected to recover. A subsequent investigation lead to the location and arrest of Douglas Larocque, Age: 45, of Romano Circle in Lebanon, who was determined to be the supplier of the heroin to the victim. Larocque was charged with Possession of the Narcotic Drug Heroin with the Intent to Distribute, a Class B Felony. He was held on $5,000 cash bail, and will be arraigned Monday morning at the Lebanon District Division, New Hampshire 2nd Circuit Court.
The investigation is on-going, and the heroin that was recovered, stamped “ANONYMOUS,” appears to have a high potency level. Although all heroin should be considered potentially lethal, this particular batch led to an overdose death and people should be cautioned accordingly.
