NH State Police Seeks Help in Locating Missing S. Acworth Woman
The NH State Police is seeking the public’s help in locating a missing South Acworth woman. Police say 57-year-old Sheila Brodne left her home about 2:00 pm on Tuesday and left a note for her husband saying she was going shopping in the Keene area. Police were notified of her disappearance shortly after 9:30 pm.
Troopers started an investigation and canvassed the area, but have been unable to locate Brodne or her burgundy 2015 Subaru Forester. The Subaru’s license plate is 605388 and the back license holder says Love a Nurse. Brodne is 5’4” weighs 160 lbs and has brown hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing mustard colored pants and a mustard colored stripped long sleeve shirt.

Windsor Arrests 5th Person in Operation Quicksand
Windsor VT Police say a fifth person was arrested in Operation Quicksand. Michael Place 27 was arrested in Springfield MA and was listed by Windsor Police as being wanted in late April following the arrest of four others on drug charges.
The arrest of Michael Place ends a lengthy investigation into the distribution of Heroin and Cocaine in Windsor. Windsor Police initiated this six-month investigation, dubbed “Operation Quicksand,” in response to the complaints of drug distribution in the town.
The arrest of Mr. Place in Massachusetts reiterates how the long arm of the law will apprehend those who flee the area in an attempt to avoid facing the consequences of their actions. The State of Vermont will pursue extradition of Mr. Place to face heroin sale charges in Windsor County.
Claremont Man Arrested in Charlestown Home Invasion
A Claremont man was arrested for receiving stolen property taken during a home invasion in Charlestown last year. The arrest of Jeffrey Buzzell 41 by NH Probation and Parole comes after an investigation into the break in where a 63-year-old woman was tied up and more than $ 25,000 worth of jewelry, coins, and gold and silver bars were taken.
Buzzell was arrested without incident and charged with one count of Receiving Stolen Property. He is being held without bail pending an arraignment in Newport District Court. Additional charges are forthcoming and investigators anticipate additional arrests..Investigators from Claremont Police, Charlestown Police, New York City Police Department and New Hampshire Probation and Parole assisted with the investigation.

TT Accident Slows Traffic in Georges Mills
A tractor trailer accident had the westbound lane of Rte 11 in Georges Mills closed for several hours yesterday afternoon. Sunapee Fire Chief Dan Ruggles said the accident happened about 1:00 pm and involved some environmental cleanup.
The Chief said the department returned to the scene shortly after 7 pm.
No one was injured in the single vehicle crash and cause of the accident is still under investigation. Representatives from the Airgas Company were on scene and did not want comment. A video of the truck being up righted is on the WNTK’s facebook page.
