Canaan Residents Arrested on Cocaine Charges
Two Canaan NH residents were arrested on Sunday for Possession of Cocaine with intent to sell. Canaan Police say they arrested Morgan Hallstead 29 and Clifford G. Lavanture 28 after an investigation into cocaine sales in Canaan.
Hallstead and Lavanture were both held at the Grafton County House of Corrections in lieu o $10,000 bail. They are scheduled for arraignment on Monday.
New Election Result Page for VT
VT Secretary of State Jim Condos announced a New Vermont Elections Results Website. The new website is searchable and has election results from1974-2016. The searchable database contains historical VT election information all from official source documents. The new site http://vtelectionarchive.sec.state.vt.us makes it easier to find results by year, office, or candidate and continues the efforts of Secretary Condos to make information more accessible for Vermonters.
TomTom Granted Patent
TomTom North America, Lebanon, N.H., has been assigned a patent (9,301,099) developed by James Alan Witmer, Lebanon, N.H., for a “method of analyzing points of interest with probe data.” The patent application was filed on Sept. 2, 2014.
Springfield Police Ask Motorists to Be Patient With Traffic Controllers
Springfield VT Police Department is asking motorists to be patient with traffic controllers. New sensors are being installed in traffic light sensors in the poles on Main, Park, and Summer Street locations and at the Plaza area at both sets of traffic lights. Police say the traffic controllers will be there for 2-3 days and will get you through the intersections as quickly as they can.
This is being done for preparation of the milling and repaving of Clinton Street to Main Street up to Park Street.
The traffic was flowing very well, we ask motorist to be patient and polite to the traffic controllers. They are there for your safety as well as others. They will get you through the intersections as quickly as they can.
VT Woman Arrested for Bringing Drugs into NH Prison
NH State Police arrested an Eden Mills VT woman after she brought $23,000 worth of drugs into the prison in Concord. Police say 30-year-old Siera Maskell allegedly had 74 Suboxone strips, cocaine, Ritalin, and drug paraphernalia during visiting hours at the men’s prison. Maskell was arrested before she reached the facility, and police believe she was working with inmate Ronald Truell who is currently serving a 2-15 year sentence for Robbery.
Maskell will be arraigned on June 3, 2016 at 8:00 am in Concord District Court for charges of Conspiracy to Introduce Articles to Prisoners and Possession of Controlled Drugs.
