A Claremont Man Sentenced for 18 Months for Child Porn
A Claremont man was sentenced to 18 months in federal prison for possession of child pornography. James Bednarcyk 28 pled guilty to one count of possessing child pornography last January. Bednarcyk was arrested in September of 2014 after an April investigation lead to seizure of Bednarcyk computer. Prosecutors say they found 20 videos and 70 still images of child pornography.

Sunapee Water and Sewer Commission Meeting
The Lake Sunapee Water and Sewer Commission is meeting on Thursday, April 28 at 5:30 pm in the meeting room at the Town Offices. A representative from Solitude Lake Management will be there to answer any questions or concerns that the public may have regarding the spraying of the Phragmites at the Wastewater Treatment Plant property.
Suspicious Fires in Keene
Fire officials in Keene say that multiple brush fires on Rte 9 are considered suspicious and are under investigation. Lt. John Bates says the fires started just before 3:00 am on Tuesday between Base Hill Road and the top of Chesterfield Hill. Firefighters were able to
contain and extinguish the blazes. Anyone with information relating to these fires along Route 9 are asked to contact the Fire Prevention Officer Lt. John Bates at Keene 603-757-1863.
New London Town Clerk and Tax Collector Extends Hours
A reminder that New London ‘s Town Clerk/Tax Collector will now be opened the last Saturday each month from 8:00 am-1:00 pm starting this Saturday, April 30.
