Claremont Man Arrested for Sale of Cocaine
A Claremont NH plead not guilty to multiple drug charges in Claremont District Court yesterday. Daniel F Towle (Toll) 24 was arrested Friday night for Felony charges of Possession with Intent to Distribute and Conspiracy to Commit Sale of Cocaine and a Misdemeanor charge for Possession of Cocaine.
The arrest followed an investigation by the Claremont Police Department and the NH Attorney General’s Drug Task Force concerning the sale of cocaine in Claremont.
Bail was set at $10,000 cash bail and issued an additional charge of contempt of court. Towle will have a probable cause hearing on April 4, in Claremont District Court.
No Injuries in Georges Mills Accident
A three-car collision in Georges Mills on Rte 11and Jobs (like the bible) Creek Road yesterday allegedly caused by drunk driving. Sunapee Police Chief David Cahill said two cars were traveling east when a driver from the westbound lane crossed the yellow line and hit both vehicles.
The driver of the westbound vehicle was subsequently
arrested and transported to New London Hospital where blood was drawn to be
tested as it is believed that speed and alcohol were factors in this crash.
Luckily, none of the drivers were injured.

Newport Man Pleads Guilty to Child Pornography
A Newport man pled guilty to possessing child pornography in Federal Court today. Police arrested Allen Langlois 49, in September on a warrant for the charges after an FBI investigation. Hundreds of still images of child pornography were discovered on the Langlois’ personal computer. Langlois is scheduled for sentencing in July 2016. Pursuant to the terms of his plea agreement, he has stipulated to a sentence of 42 months’ imprisonment, followed by an extended period of supervised release. He also faces a fine of up to $250,000.
