A Lebanon man was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, after a police pursuit that ended in a crash on Wednesday. Lebanon Police say that shortly after 8 pm K-9 Office Jon Tracy tried to stop a vehicle driven by Patrick Roland 53 for a motor vehicle violation. Roland refused to stop and took off at high speeds on Mechanic street and then on to Bank Street Extension where he lost control and went off the road and down an embankment resting on trees above the Mascoma River. Roland was removed from his vehicle by Lebanon Fire and Police personnel and transported to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.
Roland was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Subsequent Offense and Disobeying a Police Officer each Class A Misdemeanors. He was released on personal recognizance bail and he will appear in court on March 21, 2016.
