Goshen Select Board Unanimously Grants Junkyard License
The Goshen Select Board unanimously approved a Junkyard License for Goshen Auto Wrecking on Tuesday night. Bratan Robillard Jr. has been unable to operate the business his father Bratan Robillard Sr. started years ago since the license terminated with the senior Robillard’s passing in June.
One stipulation for the license was for the business to be only on the east side of Brook Road. Currently there are rusting antique tractors, cars, trucks and machinery in the field across from the business on the west side. Robillard was given a year to get the meadow cleared. In addition, the license needs renewal each year, according to NH RSAs. Three abutters were present and all expressed support for the license. The salvage yard recycles the old steel into new and supplies material to Colby Sawyer College for their sculptures.
