Bellow Falls Police Seize Drugs and Car
bellows falls patchBellows Falls Police say a case remains open with additional charges pending after finding 200 bags of Heroin ready for distribution, 6 grams of raw heroin, and 6.6 grams of crack cocaine in a hidden compartment of a seized vehicle. Police applied for a search warrant on the vehicle after a traffic violation stop just after 1 am on

Thursday. During the stop, K-9 Caesar alerted Officer Checchi to the presence of drugs. The driver refused consent to search the vehicle but 2.5 grams of Cocaine, a packet of suspected PCP and 8 Clonazepam pills were found, concealed on passenger Roberto Caraballo 28, of Springfield MA. Carabello was arrested and released on a citation to appear in court and the driver was released. Police seized the vehicle pending the search warrant.
Just after 7:00 pm, the search warrant was granted and Officers from the Bellows Falls Police Department discovered the hidden drugs. Carabello has since been charged with Trafficking Heroin; Possession of Crack Cocaine-Greater than 2.5 grams in addition to the original charges of Possession of Crack Cocaine: Possession of a depressant drug-Clonazepam; Possession of PCP.

Cornish Police Issue Crime Alert
The Cornish Police Department is seeking any witnesses to the theft at 606 Townhouse Road. Police say sometime between Friday Aug. 21- and Monday Aug. 24 of a plow frame assembly and pump system was taken. The items were out in front of the residence with a FOR SALE sign on them.
Cornish Police Department is seeking any witnesses that may have seen a truck being loaded in this area. Police believe more than one person was involved in the theft since the heavy items would require more than one person to move. Users of Job Creek Road May Experience Delays
The Sunapee Highway Department is replacing some existing failed drainage pipes that are located under Jobs Creek Road beginning the first week of September. The work will take place between the intersections of Route 11 and Woodland Road. During the project, traffic will be one lane for most of the time. Keyser Pond Issued Cyanobacteria Warning
NH DES issued a Cyanobacteria Lake Warning for Keyser Pond in Henniker. Authorities advise to stay away from the clumps of greenish-blue goo. Re-sampling will take place next week.

First Anniversary for Market Basket Employees
Today is the first anniversary of the Market Basket settlement when Arthur T. Demoulas returned to Market Basket with day-to-day operational authority of the company. Thousands of employees walked out on July 18, 2014 after Arthur T. was kicked out of his family-owned business by his cousin Arthur S. Demoulas, who controlled a little over half of the shares of the $4.3 billion. The business standstill attracted the attention of the media and public including the governors of Massachusetts and New Hampshire, who stepped in to mediate.
