Goshen Woman Sentenced on Arms Charges
A Goshen NH woman was sentenced on Monday to 18 months in Federal Prison on firearms charges. Sandra Egbert 26, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to make a false statement during the acquisition of a firearm and making a false statement during the acquisition of a firearm. Acting US Attorney Donald Feith said an investigation by multiple law enforcements agencies including the ATF into the illegal purchase and sale of firearms involving Ronald Scott, Mitchell Riddell and Sandra Egbert began in March of 2014. Ronald Scott of MA solicited Riddell, a New Hampshire resident, to purchase firearms. Riddell then solicited Egbert to purchase the firearms. Between March 2014 and April 2015, Egbert purchased nine firearms on four separate occasions saying they were for her use. One of the firearms purchased by Egbert was recovered in Boston MA during a drug arrest; the others have not been recovered. Riddell was sentenced to 37 months imprisonment for firearm charges and Scott was sentenced to 33 months for firearm and drug charges.
Loudon Man Rescued in Bradford NH
A Loudon NH man was rescued in Bradford NH after he crashed his trail bike on Day Road. Fish and Game Officials say Kevin N. Hardt 21, lost control of his trail bike just before 4:30 pm on Sunday, and crashed on the Class IV section of Day Pond Road. NH Fish and Game, Bradford and Henniker Fire and Rescue Departments went to the scene and found the road passable only by off road vehicles. Hardt was rescued by two good Samaritans along with a member of the Henniker Fire Rescue in an off road Jeep. Hardt was taken to Concord with non-life threatening injuries.
Felonious Sexual Assault on a Child bring Cornish Man NH Prison Sentence.
Kurt Wyman 65, of Cornish NH plead guilty in Sullivan County Superior Court on Monday for Felonious Sexual Assault on a seven year girl. The 65-year-old man admitted to using a vibrator outside and inside of the child’s clothing in December of last year. Wyman who served in the army and navy made a tearful apology to the court. Kurt Wyman was sentenced to 6 ½ – 15 years in a NH State prison with 148 days taken off for time served, and have to register as a sex offender upon his release. Assistant County Attorney Felix Tarango felt the plea was good resolution.
Other accusations were lodged against the Cornish man but they were included in the plea deal.
Wyman began serving his sentence immediately.
