D-H Names Director of Heart and Vascular Center
Dartmouth-Hitchcock health system (D-H) has appointed nationally known expert in cardiovascular diseases Dr. Mark A. Creager, as Director of the Heart and Vascular Center. Creager is a professor of Medicine at Harvard and has had distinguished career at Brigham and Woman’s Hospital in Boston and is currently president elect of the American Heart Association. “We’re delighted that Mark is joining us in this important new role, and we look forward to his arrival,” said D-H CEO and President Dr. James N. Weinstein, in announcing Creager’s appointment.
Newport Selectboard Extends Brown’s Contract
Newport’s Board of Selectmen unanimously voted to extend Town Manager’s Paul Brown’s contract until July 20. Brown’s term was due to end on the last day of June. The Selectboard said they were still in negotiations with the candidates and if need be they can extend Brown’s contract for additional time. The Selectboard had hoped to announce Newport’s new town manager at their Monday night meeting, no reason was given for the delay in negotiations. On Sunday, the Berkshire Eagle reported that one of Newport’s candidates; Angus Jennings did not get the nod as Williamstown town manager since he will likely go to another town. Jennings is a finalist for a Newport as well as city manager in Ellsworth NH. The other finalist for Newport’s Town Manager is Shane O’Keefe.
Sewer Cleaning in Lebanon
Lebanon will be cleaning sewer lines on the following streets during the week of June 15th. Please use caution while traveling in the vicinity of these streets as contractor will be working in the street.
