Newport District Judge Bruce Cardello kept Brandon A. Green’s bail at $100,000 cash only bail on Monday. Green is accused of the armed robbery of Spec Bowers at the Georges Mills Cottages just after midnight on Monday.

Marc Hathaway says he did not have time to go over all of Green’s arrest records but mentioned several of Green’s Florida arrests in 2004, one conviction for petty theft and several burglary charges and unlawful possession of a saw off shotgun.

Sunapee Police Arresting officer Timothy Therrien asked the court for cash bail stating in an avadavat that Green has a lengthy criminal record, and had an incident with New London Police where he was violent and threatened suicide by police. Therrien also stated Green has no real ties to the area and that his wife is a traveling per diem worker.

In court, Green said he has lived at Georges Mills Cottages for the past three months and has not worked, but his wife works at New London Hospital. Green will have a probable cause hearing on June 22 in Claremont Circuit Court.
