Molly Helland’s body being taken to Vermont Medical Examiner for autopsy

Murdered Windsor Woman Identified
Police identified the 22-year-old Windsor woman murdered on Monday morning as Molly Helland. Police say they found Helland on the ground, with gunshots wounds outside her parent’s home on 43 South Main Street, Windsor just after 7 am.
Vermont Law Enforcement officials are seeking Helland’s ex-boyfriend Jason Kendall also of Windsor for questioning. Helland recently moved back to her parent’s home after breaking up with the 27-year-old Kendall the father of her son. Police said a car like Kendall’s a1996 Silver Honda Accord was seen fleeing the area just after the shooting.
Holyoke MA Police Department reported to VT Law Enforcement that a white male with a hooded sweatshirt and baseball cap was outside a Denny’s about 11:00 am on Monday stealing a plate off a silver Honda. The Honda owner confirmed that one plate was taken with MA registration 842YM3.
Kendall was also reported seen about 4:00 pm on Monday in a silver Honda Accord, with MA plate 842YM3, south of Parker Street in Springfield, Massachusetts. Witnesses described the driver as a white male with short cropped hair.

Underage Drinking Party Keeps Police Busy
Sunapee police uncovered an underage drinking party early Monday morning and took 74 teens into custody. Police Chief David Cahill said they responded to a 911 call for an unresponsive male in a car and came across the party at 43 Trow Hill Road. Because of the number of minors, Cahill used a Sunapee School Bus to take them to the station.
Multiple agencies also helped with processing the 2015 grads of Phillips Academy, Andover, Massachusetts
Twenty-three of the grads face charges of underage possession and transportation of alcoholic beverages. The remaining 51 minors were placed into protective custody. All of the minors involved were processed and released to parents or relatives.
None of the grads were treated for injuries or illness related to the party. The 23 that were charged will be in Newport District Court on Aug. 4, 2015

Three Vermonters Face Trespassing and Theft Charges
Three Vermont residents were charged with Unlawful Trespass, Possession of Stolen Property. Chester VT police arrested Christopher Chico 27, Amy Reardon 29 both of Chester, and Jessica Woods 38 of Springfield VT after they found a stolen firearm, drug paraphernalia, and substances consistent with illegal narcotics. The substance is at the Vermont Forensic Lab for determination. All three will appear in Windsor court on June 23 to answer the charges.
