No New Leads on Missing Claremont Man
The search for missing Nicholas Washburn continues after no new leads were turned up at Saturday’s search. Washburns’ family and friends are offering a $500.00 reward leading to Washburn’s whereabouts. Washburn went missing on Friday, April 10 after crashing his car into the Main Street Bridge in Claremont. Police say he was fleeing from a domestic incident they were called to prior to the crash. Claremont’s Police Chief Alex Scott said there is no news on the case and that a prior record does not have a bearing on this case. Scott was responding to a report that Washburn plead guilty to attempting to elude a police officer during a high-speed chase on I-91 in March of 2010 after a reported domestic violence incident in Hartford Vt. The Claremont police have warrants out for Washburn’s arrest for the April 10, domestic violence incident.
